The Winter of Discontent?

November 2008 – Well the fun was over – (Race season) ended with an exhausted Daz and for the month of November didn’t even think about exercise. The weight was put back on (not such a bad thing as was looking a tad skinny) And the turbo and bikes were put away- out of sight.

BUT December soon came  and I was straight back into training- it was a shock to the system, the cold was biting on the bike up in the Yorkshire Dales. At least my water bottle didn’t freeze this time- last year when I went to take a drink I had a shock – the contents of the bottle had turned to a solid block!

The film ‘A Bunch Of Amateurs’ which I filmed earlier in the year was out and the bike stunt can be seen here, I was a little singed after the 3rd take as the special FX guys overcooked it on the fire…..

So got through December without any problems I always love Christmas in Yorkshire and am always proud of my roots up there. It is so so b

Toby is pooped

eautiful.

The training with bike and runs were great fun as was the food! Me and Toby the Dog were so pooped after our exercise regime! He is nearly 12 !

January was quiet on the stunt front and race front too. Got the FLU -that took me out for a week. So no work, no play.  Now back to some heavy training and the preparing for the TCR 10k in Feb -

my first race of the season! Oh and the new TT bike on order…can’t wait to get my hands on it. (Thanks to Cannondale/ Bike and Run)
